Are you ready for some cuteness??

My Aussie friend, Deb Mitchell, asked me to be guest designer for the release of her new stamp line called The Emerald Faerie Collection.  Well, if you saw the images that I saw, you wouldn't be able to resist either! Today I'm sharing with you a card I made using Ally and Beeble.  All the stamps will be available for sale on Wednesday, November 10, at the Deb's Creations store.

Kaboodle Doodles Guest Designer and Craft Brulee card!

Happy Monday everyone!

I have a very special project to share with you today!  A couple of months back, my friend Chris asked me to be guest designer for this week's Kaboodle Doodle challenge and I graciously accepted.  The reason why I say this project is special to me is because Kaboodle Doodle was my first every design team!  That means that Chris is one of the first people I've met (and fortunately been able to keep in touch with) when I started blogging.  A lot has changed since then, but I'm still very grateful that someone gave a newbie a chance :)

Anywho, on to this week's project!  This week's challenge at Kaboodle Doodles is a recipe: two patterned papers, two solid papers, and a flower or lace embellishment.  The sponsor this week is Craft Brulee and provided us with the GORGEOUS lace flower embellishment that you see on my card.  Gosh, I wish finishing cards could be as simple as this.  Isn't this embellishment just beautiful??  Make sure to go browse around the store and check out all the other goodies she's offering!

Whiff of Joy: Another magically-inspired card

Wow, it feels like I haven't made a card in so long! Hah, actually it's only been a few days since I made a one. I guess this craft really is addicting, isn't it?

Today I'm sharing a creation with you made as a guest designer for Whiff of Joy.  This card uses images from the May Store Kit - Aladin (1001 Nights) illustrated by the talented Elisabeth Bell.  I just love coloring the WOJ images with my distress inks! Even though I was a little intimidated by the detail, I've grown to really appreciate them.

Oh yeah, and while you're at the Whiff of Joy store, you should check out the June Stamp Kit - Fun in the Sun.  It's also illustrated by Elisabeth Bell.  It's just a gorgeous kit and the sitting Willow image is just beautiful!

I can't believe it!  My dear friend and teammate Crystal emailed me congratulating me for being chosen as the Whiff of Joy GD for June and July so I had to head over the Katharina's blog to see for myself.  It was unbelievable seeing my creation up there along with the other talented ladies.

Wow, I am so excited!!

Sundays with Crissy - Make it a Combo!

There's a new challenge blog in town!!

Today is the launch of Sunday's With Crissy - a bi-weekly challenge blog run by the talented artist Crissy Armstrong!  The gals at Whimsy Stamps were lucky enough to be asked to be this week's guest designer and of course I couldn't resist saying no.  The premise of Crissy's challenges are simple and loads of fun: just create something following the challenge theme for that week.  You do not have to use her digital images to enter (or digital images at all), but if you do, you will have a chance to win the challenge prize.  And wow, is this week's prize a BIG one: COPIC MARKERS!!

Her challenge this week is "Make it Combo" which can be interpreted many ways!  For this card, I've combined two digital images (Maya Blowing Bubbles and a sentiment from the coordinating sentiment set), which are both being released tomorrow at noon EST as part of the Whimsy Stamps digital line.  I think this is one of the sweetest digital images I've ever seen - it's just so innocent and has a certain serenity to it.

Stamp Something Challenge: Glitzy Somethings!

Wow, I can't believe the holidays are fast approaching! I am so behind on my holiday cards that I really don't know how I'm going to catch up BUT let me tell you, my design teams have really got me cranking on them!

This week at Stamp Something Challenges, our challenge for you is to make Glitzy Somethings. You have to have some kind of stamp in there (digital is okay too), but other than that, make anything your heart desires! The lovely Denise gave me this super cute stamp and I just loved using her! I think this will be on several cards this year. I used rhinestones as her earrings, which I thought added a nice little touch :) For this challenge, I used this week's sketch from IC Sketches.

Who says the middle of the week can't be fun?

I certainly don't because there are TWO, yes count them, TWO challenges today that you definitely need to check out today.

The first is the Creative Belli Blog challenges with the theme of "Water-based markers only." Yep, no Copics! For this card, I used some Marvy markers. It's been fun being a guest designer and I appreciate them having me for the month of August!

The second challenge is Crafty Creations with the theme of "Tags." I always say this, but the DT has really stepped it up for this challenge. What great tags they've come up with! The prize this week kindly donated by Trudette.
