Cherish the Moments

I'm so sorry for the late post!

For this week's Shop Pumpkin Spice creation, I've decided to create a rather simple card to show off the pretty papers from Crate Paper Farmhouse collection.  The papers are vibrant and were actually really refreshing to use after doing so many holiday cards.

Please excuse my short post today because as we speak, I am in the middle of packing for my one way trip to another state :)

You Warm My Heart

Hello everyone!  Sorry for the lack of posts.  We are in the process of moving from California to Oregon and we've had a heck of time trying to figure everything out.  I'm sure it'll all be worth it though :)

Anywho, for today's post I cheated a bit and combined my Shop Pumpkin Spice weekly post with my Whimsy Stamps showcase post!  I used some gorgeous Bo Bunny papers from the Blitzen 6x6 paper pad.  I really like the non-traditional colors that are in this collection.  There are definitely a lot of color combinations that I would not have thought to use for winter/holiday cards, but I think it came together perfectly!  I also tried my hand a coloring on kraft again, something that I hadn't done for a long time, and I was actually somewhat satisfied with the results.  The image looks better in real life.  If you need kraft paper, Shop Pumpkin Spice has it available here: Bazzill 8.5 x 11 Kraft Cardstock.

As I mentioned, today's card is also for the Whimsy Stamps Showcase Day #2 for the November 2011 Release!  On Wednesday, November 16th, Whimsy Stamps released this month's rubber designs and new shapeology dies. From then until November 23, the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new stamps and dies with a daily mini blog hop.

Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw.

For my card, I've used several of the new release stamps and dies.  It was so difficult to choose which image to work with, but I went with Crissy's Cool Pony.  I think the little girl is so cute and Crissy's horses are always the best.  If you've never seen her line of carousel horses at Whimsy, you MUST check them out.

The sentiment that you see on the top left corner of the image is a new line of sentiments and dies that we have called "Notables."  This particular one is from the Winter Notables 1 sentiments set.  I cut it out by hand, but there is also a matching Notables 1 die to go along with it.  The fancy frame that holds it is cut out using the new Elegant Notables 1 die.  This die is current sold out (geez, that was fast), but maybe you can find one at a your favorite Whimsy retailer?  I'm surprised, yet pleased, that it has sold out so quickly :)

I cut out a ton of snowflakes using the Layered Snowflakes die set.  In the center of the snowflakes are brads from the Echo Park Happy Days Brad Assortment.  I stamped the twill ribbon with a sentiment from the Sleigh Ride set.  Stamping on twill was really fun and you will for sure see more of this in the future once all my stuff is out of storage :)  The sentiment was stamped using StazOn Stamp Pad in Jet Black.  This is the only stamp pad I trust on different types of surfaces - it really just "stay on" very well!

SPS November Blog Hop

Welcome to Pumpkin Spice November blog hop!
If you've come here from the  Pumpkin Spice Store Blog, then you're on the right track!

Wow, can you believe it's November already?  Just feels like yesterday that this design team was formed :)  We're very happy that you are joining us again this month for another hop!  Today the Pumpkin Spice DT is kicking off November with a blog hop  We're featuring Crate Paper's line of products as well as sneak peeking the wonderful creations that June created for her Kit of the Month.  Let's get started!

First up, a sneak peak of one of June's Kit of the Month creations! She has put together a wonderful collection of supplies using MME's Season's Greetings line.  I love all the papers and embellishments in this line!

If you want to see the entire thing, head over to the Pumpkin Spice Store to check out June's kit as well as explore the various other goodies that the shop has to offer.

For today's blog hop creations, I put together two Christmas cards using papers from the Crate Paper Peppermint 6x6 Paper Pad.  I like that though this is a holiday-themed pad, I could use a lot of these patterns on non-holiday cards.  Don't ya just love versatility?  I also used a lot of other products from the Shop Pumpkin Spice Store so make sure to check out my supplies list :)

Winter's Butterflies

Hello!  I hope everyone has had a great week so far :)  Mine is a bit unforgettable, lots of things happened, but I don't want to bore you with those details.

For today's post, I have a rather simple winter card to share with you.  I used papers from Echo Park Season's Greetings, which may be my favorite Christmas line for this year.  The edges were all distressed with  Distress Ink Tea Dye.  The snowflakes were cut using Spellbinders Create-a-flake 3, which is available from SPS for a very good price!  The label was also cut with a Spellbinder die (Fancy Tags).  The pearls were made using Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Cream.

Ribbon Tilda

It's been soooo long since I've used a Magnolia stamp, but I got to play with one last night!  I chose Ribbon Tilda, who is just absolutely adorable.

I actually don't have any idea what what's going on with this card, lol.  I stated with two pieces of patterned paper and tried to follow the sketch at Dutch Magnolia Lovers (it's still there), but then kept piling things on and on and ended up with what you see below, lol.  The ornaments are from the Seasonal Ornaments sentiment set and they were cut out using the Ornaments Die Set.  I also went kind of crazy with the gold glitter : /  I also used as many of my new Cheery Lynn Designs dies as I could.  Yeah, I know, I have no idea what I was thinking.

Anywho, hope you're having a good week so far!
