Kaboodle Doodle Challenge #19: Snowflakes!

This week's challenge at Kaboodle Doodles is to make some creations using snowflakes! Being in Southern California, we don't really have much of a winter much less snowflakes, but I still love seeing them on creations. I went really simple for this card. I'll probably make a few of these to sell as card packages for my upcoming craft fair.

Paper Maniac Inspirations: Last minute gift idea

Hello everyone! For those who celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, I hope that you all had a wonderful past few days. I'm here to bring you a last minute gift idea for those scrambling something to fill the stockings with. This is another box, a pizza box to be exact, that you can fill with little note cards and give away as a stocking stuffer. The tutorial for the pizza box can be found at SCS here.

For this box, I've used Worldwin Elan Metallic papers for my main box and Basic Grey Wisteria paper (which is included in the Basic Grey Christmas Card Class set). The sentiment is from the Unity October Store KOTM. I've also added some pearls to accent the sentiment and that's it!

Stamp Something Challenge: Thank You Somethings

This week I have a 3x3 notecard box to share with you using paper and a tag from the Graphic 45 Christmas Past Paper Pack. This Graphic 45 paper just oozes vintage Christmas - isn't the pattern gorgeous?! You can find the tutorial to make the 3x3 notecard box at SCS here. All I did was put some ribbon through the tag and tie it around the box. A very do-able, quick project. Have fun making yours!

Sexy Boots

Well, just one sexy boot. I love how this card turned out! The boot started out from a stock photo, then I vectorized it in Illustrator, tuned it in Photoshop so that the lines show up a little bit more, and printed it out on patterned paper. Definitely will be using this image again.

Paper Maniac Inspirations: A simple bookmark

Today I'm sharing with you a quick and easy bookmark using products that can be purchased at Paper Maniac. This week we were challenged to do something out of our comfort zone and this definitely is out of my comfort zone! It's not the fact that it's a bookmark, it's that it's always hard for me to use up my patterned papers on something other than cards!

I've created this bookmark using some cardstock, a corner rounder, the Martha Stewart Snowfall punch, Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly patterned paper, ribbon, rhinestones, and the Shapeabilities Create-a-Flake 2 die cut. I also laminated it to make it more sturdy and durable. The laminating also gives it a nice shiny finish. This bookmark is approximately 5.5" x 2" so you can actually make 3 bookmarks from using one of the 6" x 6" pieces of Cosmo Cricket paper and half a sheet of letter sized cardstock. That's pretty economical, I would say!

Whimsy's Dog and Sign - for you!

Gosh, I've just been so busy lately (a good busy for the most part) and I haven't been able to create anything "just because." I miss it! I have my very first craft fair coming up on November 21 and I'm trying to get as much done as possible. I set a big goal and I have no idea if I'll even come close. I'm hoping to get a few things sold, but if not, then I have a lot of Christmas gifts made, lol!

This card was done for a friend's birthday. The sign looks weird empty, but I filled it in with a happy birthday sentiment before I sent it off. Like always, the Whimsy stamps are so fun to color. This card uses the Whimsy Dog and Sign; just look at that face! It also uses the Whimsy Circle Postmarks Sentiments set.

Paper Maniac Inspirations: Use those die cuts!

My project today is somewhat simple and hopefully, you'll be able to try it out too. What is it? Well, it's a small picture frame made from a couple of Nestabilities and the Create a Flake 1 Shapebilities, all from Spellbinders! I don't have a picture to put it in yet, as I'm waiting to visit family. I was hoping to take a picture of my nieces and nephew and stick in it there to hang on our tree.

This project only has a few simple steps and I'm sure you'll be able to create something very similar. Some of the supplies you need are the Nestabilities Label 8 die, Nestabilities Large Deckled Rectangles, Create a Flake 1 Shapeabilities, cardstock, kraft paper, and a pearl. I used the largest die from the Label 8 Nestabilities for the back. For the frame outline, I used the two largest dies from the Large Deckled Rectangles, nested them, and ran it through the Cuttlebug. For the snowflakes, I chose to use two dies from the Create A Flake 1 Shapeabilities set and just laid them on top of another and topped it off with a pearl. Simple!
