A Day at the Beach

Hello all!

Just here to quickly share a card with you using the Kraftin' Kimmie's Eleanor stamp.  All these colors just really get me geared up to head to the beach.  These papers are from the Basic Grey Green At Heart pad.

Isn't this girl just sassy?  This stamp is for the Deb's Creations Queen of Cards Competition, which is still happening over at the Deb's Creations Ning Group.  Head there to check out all the festivities!

Stamp: Kraftin' Kimmie Eleanor
Medium: Distress Inks (image) and Copics (for shadow)

Look, no patterned papers!

Wow, can you believe it's almost the weekend?  Thank goodness :)

Today I have a quick card to share using Kraftin' Kimmie Captain Scurvy stamp I received from Deb.  I love the little accessory stamp that goes with it and the main images it just so fun to color.  I colored him using Distress Reinkers, but the other treasure boxes in the background has been colored with Copics.  In the picture, the boxes don't match too well, but when I was coloring them under my stupid light, they did, lol.  I think that the embossing folder was just the perfect pattern, too, and the distressing on the edges made it look so much better!  I should do this more often :)

I hope you're having a good week so far!

Polly in Purple (and my distress ink efforts)

Well now...who's this sassy gal?  Her name is Polly and you can get her here at Deb's Creations! Deb had her sent to me and she was so fun to color.  And yes, I've finally shared something colored with my new medium: Ranger Distress Inks! I bought the 23 older colors (left out the clear embossing one).  I know that I'll never really abandon my Copics (partly because I've spent waaaay too much on the ones I have), but I love the effects that I get with watercolors. I also love that they're so much cheaper and I must admit, it's a little more fun watercoloring than marker coloring. I want to get the new Ranker Distress Ink colors, but I'm waiting till they go on sale because I'm cheap like that.  Oh, and I really want some Twinkling H2O pots, too!  Ah, this addiction is horrible.

Well, I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend! Make sure to pop back in tomorrow for my blog hop post for the new Whimsy Stamps release!

Cutthroat Lizzie is ready for the sea!

Okay, yeah, my blog post title is a little lame, but for the life of me, I couldn't think up of any anything else!

Anywho, it's about time I created Kraftin' Kimmie card! I don't remember when I got this stamp, but it's the first time I've ever inked her up.  Her name is Cutthroat Lizzie and you can get her at the Deb's Creations store here.  Deb is going to be getting more Kraftin' Kimmie stamps in soon so make sure you watch out for those! I love the sass of this girl and she was a thrill to color.  I also love the little accessories that come with these stamps.  The skull and bones stamp that you see to the left was just perfect.

Oh, and make sure you join us at the Deb's Creations Ning for some fun and inspiration!
