2 Cute Tuesday: Baby Apple

Awww...really? My last 2 Cute Tuesday Creation?

Well, I'm definitely going to miss these Tuesdays, but guess what, a super talented lady will be taking my place on Tuesdays and you won't miss me one bit ;)  Stay tuned to find out who it will be and make sure to give her a 2 Cute welcome!  Thanks for letting me have this chance, gals!

Today I've created a bright, fruity card using the 2 Cute Rubber Stamps Baby Pumpkin Apple, which is available as a digi, wood-mounted and cling-mounted. He's just so adorable! Just look at those pinch-a-ble cheeks! He was so fun to color, too.  Make sure to play along in the current challenge here for a chance to win some stamps!

Hello Tilda - My first easel :)

Happy Thursday! I just hope the rest of the week zooms on my because I am so tired! Can't wait to rest and head to San Diego to see family :)

Anywho, this is my first easel! The always-so-sweet Denise sent me over a smooth cardstock which I used to stamp Hello Tilda on. I gotta say, wow, is this what coloring with markers is supposed to be like? It blended so much better! That doesn't mean my coloring is perfect, but having the great paper didn't hurt! Thanks, Denise :)

What evokes the feeling of spring more than a puppy, flowers, smiling clouds, and a happy little girl? I can't think of anything, can you?  Well, maybe a bunny here and there, but you'll have to visit another ODDgirl to see the new bunny images ;)

Today is our first challenge at the Some Odd Girl Blog!  And of course, we've got a super fun challenge for you: rainbow.  Take that as you will - you can either have a rainbow in your creation or use all the colors of the rainbow.  I've done both today; well, I've used at least most of the colors of the rainbow :)

I loved playing around with putting together this little scene.  All the images just work so well together!  The Sunflowers, Rainbow, and lil Puppy Walkies images are all from the latest release so you can grab them now!  I've also used Happy Angel Kaylee on this card.  Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl blog to play along in our first challenge! We can't wait to see what you create :)

2 Cute Tuesday: Kitty Surprise

What can I say? It's time for another 2 Cute Tuesday creation! Today, I'm using Kitty Surprise on my card. We all seem to LOVE this image! My picture is a little dark, sorry about that.  When I was looking at it on my screen, it seemed a lot brighter.

Anywho, can you believe our second challenge is coming up soon?  We're hosting another challenge for you on Thursday.  Heidi will be giving out another free image for you to use so make sure to check back at the 2 Cute Rubber Stamps Blog!

A lion after my own heart

Another quick card to share :)  This is my attempt at coloring the Whimsy Stamps Lion using Ranger Distress Inks!  I've only been coloring Magnolias with distress inks, but I thought that this guy was the perfect candidate.  He's one of my favorite Whimsy Stamps images and though I can improve in some areas, I think he looks alright in this card :)  It doesn't hurt that he's soooo cute! I mean, he's so regal and proud.  Would you believe it? Right after I was done, some of the leftover ink made it's way onto the white space.  Ugh, go figure!

I hope that your weekend goes well!

Stamp: Whimsy Stamps Lion, Love sentiment from Whimsy Stamps Wings of Hope set; Medium: Distress Inks; Paper: BasicGrey; Accessories/tools: ribbon

Sailing through the week

Happy Friday everyone! I just a quick card to share. The gorgeous image that I used on this card is from Digital Stamp Oasis called At Sea, which I think is perfect to use on male cards.  I went with a simple layout to really capture the details of the image.  I think it's wonderfully drawn :)

Polly in Purple (and my distress ink efforts)

Well now...who's this sassy gal?  Her name is Polly and you can get her here at Deb's Creations! Deb had her sent to me and she was so fun to color.  And yes, I've finally shared something colored with my new medium: Ranger Distress Inks! I bought the 23 older colors (left out the clear embossing one).  I know that I'll never really abandon my Copics (partly because I've spent waaaay too much on the ones I have), but I love the effects that I get with watercolors. I also love that they're so much cheaper and I must admit, it's a little more fun watercoloring than marker coloring. I want to get the new Ranker Distress Ink colors, but I'm waiting till they go on sale because I'm cheap like that.  Oh, and I really want some Twinkling H2O pots, too!  Ah, this addiction is horrible.

Well, I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend! Make sure to pop back in tomorrow for my blog hop post for the new Whimsy Stamps release!

I love the sass of this girl and she was a thrill to color.  I also love the little accessories that come with these stamps.  The skull and bones stamp that you see to the left was just perfect.

2 Cute Tuesday: Best Friends on a Branch

It's time for another 2 Cute Tuesday creation!

Have you checked out Heidi's blog lately? If not, you've definitely got to visit! She has an adorable St. Patty's Day Turtle Digi for sale that is just PERFECT for the upcoming holiday. You also have to look through her sketches - there are some piggies there that I'm just dying to see turn into stamps.    There's one here (Piggie in the Rain), one here (Ballerina Piggie) and one here (Piggie Love). Why are pigs so cute?  Well, at least Heidi's piggie sketches are, lol.  Make sure to leave her some comments so that she'll turn those into stamps!!

Anywho, on to my creation! It doesn't have a pig on it, but this Best of Friends Owl stamp is just as cute! I like that you can do the out-of-bounds technique with the branch.  I think it looks kinda neat :)  This stamp is available right now at the 2 Cute Rubber Stamps Etsy in cling, wood, and as a digi.

Some Odd Girl - Happy Angel Kaylee

I love when Mondays pass by so quickly!

Today I have a Some Odd Girl creation to share with you.  I've used Happy Angel Kaylee and I tried to play around with adding some blue highlights in her hair.  What do you think? Do you think the hairdresser deserved a good tip??

These images are just so darn adorable and guess what? There will be some new images coming out on March 23.  The Happy Angel Kaylee image that I used on this card is available now at the store here, but in the coming weeks, I'll be using some of the new releases images.  Stay tuned!

For this card, I've used the sketch from Our Creative Corner.  This card also fits the challenge at Crafty Carmakers Challenge #16 A Feminine Celebration and Stampin' B's Challenge #48 Flowers and Buttons.

Thanks for looking and for your lovely comments!

Just Because - Whimsy Stamps Water Lily

Hope you've had a good weekend so far! Mine was very relaxing and I got a lot of cleaning done.  I also got in some stamping.  My distress reinkers arrived and I was trying to practice with those.  I already have a few failed attempts, but I can see why some people use this coloring medium instead.

Anywho, I just can't stop playing with these fairies from the Whimsy Stamps Mythical Collection!  I don't know what it is about them, maybe it's their unique facial expressions, but they're just so fun to play with! Today I've used Water Lily.  She's such a gorgeous image, but unfortunately, I tried to do too much with her watering can and so it looks a bit messy around the edges.  I tried to do as much erasing as I could, but it just wouldn't go away and I was too lazy to recolor everything - sorry about that!  I used some mini roses here, which are also available at the Whimsy Stamps Store.
