Oh, and wish me luck that the bears don't eat our food!
Away on vacation!
I'm taking a much needed mini vacation starting tomorrow and through Monday night at the Sequoia National Forest. I am sorry if I don't respond to your emails; I will be cut off from technology :)

Ahhh!! I was chosen as the Whiff of Joy GD!
I can't believe it! My dear friend and teammate Crystal emailed me congratulating me for being chosen as the Whiff of Joy GD for June and July so I had to head over the Katharina's blog to see for myself. It was unbelievable seeing my creation up there along with the other talented ladies.
Wow, I am so excited!!
Sentimental Sundays Challenge #4: Get Well
Can you believe it? It's already Sunday and time again for another Sentimental Sundays challenge! When I started this challenge blog, I didn't think I would have this much fun, but finding such a great team to work with really has made it more wonderful than I thought it would ever be. I'm really happy about how everything has turned out so far :)
Anyway, enough of the sappy stuff. This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is Get Well Creations. Make sure to head to the blog to grab the freebie sentiment set you see below and also to see the design team's creations and to enter the challenge!
I've created a card using a sentiment from the Get Well Soon Sentiment Set from Whimsy Stamps. I used my Nestabilities on tissue paper and used the poofy flower technique. I got these BEAUTIFUL papers from Denise.

Prairie Fairy Fridays: Week #20 Tent Card
Happy Friday everyone! Whew, I finally have time (after a busy day) to update this post with some more info.
We have a new challenge for you today at Prairie Fairy Fridays: make a tent card. This is my first tent card, but I must admit, I really enjoyed making it! It's so easy to do and it gives the card a little extra something different. Someone asked me where you write the message and one of my PF DT members decorated the back of the tent card so that she can write her message there - how clever!
Make sure you visit the Prairie Fairy Fridays blog to see some awesome creations and to enter the challenge this week!
This card is also for the Digital Tuesday Challenge (Vellum), Little Red Wagon (Put a Window In It) and C.R.A.F.T Challenge (Birthday/Celebration).

Happy Thoughts for Henry
I got my new Whiff of Joy stamps and just couldn't wait to ink them up! Come on, who wouldn't instantly fall in love with these cute new Henry images? Poor guy - he's had a very rough day. I used my distress inks to color the images, which are from the newest Get Well Collection release. The first image is Henry with Broken Leg, the second image is Sick Henry and the third is Sneezing Henry. I used the out of bounds technique for Sick Henry because his ears couldn't fit :) The sentiment is from the Whimsy Stamps Get Well Soon Sentiments set.
I'm entering this card into the Whiff of Joy guest DT Call that Katharina is now holding. She's asking us to use red, orange and another color; my other color is blue :) This card also fits the challenges at My Time To Craft (Under the Weather) and at Taylored Expressions (Sketch).

Whimsy Stamps Release Party!
Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps Release Party! If you've come here from Lisa's Blog, then you're on the right track. If not, please start at Crissy's blog to make sure you haven't missed anyone.
Today Whimsy Stamps is releasing three new rubber stamps: two carousel horses (Party Pony and Proud To Be) from the Crissy Armstrong Collection and Ticket Sentiments stamp from the Sentiments Collection. I just can't get enough of these horses! They are adorable and these two new releases are no exception. The Party Pony can be used for so many different occasions and I just love the elegance of Proud To Be. These two horses are also accompanied by some sentiments that I'm sure you'll find other uses for.
Also, we've had the idea of doing some ticket sentiments for a while and we finally have them ready for you! I'm very excited about this sentiments set because it was a ton of fun creating them. There are a total of 6 ticket sentiments, three extra stand-alone sentiments. It includes a blank ticket stamp, which you can stamp your own sentiment into - it's a very versatile stamp! Most of the sentiments from the Oval Snippets, Snippets Set 1, and Snippets Set 2 fit into this blank ticket so why not get the whole bundle?!
As always, there's some great prizes that can be won! Two random winners (one from Rowena's blog and the other from Stacey's blog) will be drawn to win both the new carousel horses. Two other winners (one from Bev's blog and the other from my blog) will be drawn to win the Ticket Sentiments (see below). To make it easy to win my candy, you can simply enter your name into the InLinkz tool below. You have until Friday, May 21st at Noon EST to comment on ALL blog hop posts to be in the running to win these wonderful stamps!
For the hop, I've created a card using the Party Pony stamp and one of the Ticket Sentiments. See, what'd I tell you? Isn't he adorable?
Stamps: Whimsy Stamps Party Pony and Ticket Sentiments; Medium: Ranger Distress Inks, Memento, Versafine; Paper: BasicGrey Capella; Accessories/tools: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, pearls
Thanks for stopping by! Please head to Maddy's blog to see her always-so-beautiful creations!
Oh, and yesterday three new sentiment sets were uploaded to the Whimsy Stamps Raindrop Eco Designs Digital Sentiments Collection. They all have a "new beginnings" theme: Bundle of Joy Sentiments, Graduation Sentiments, and Retirement Sentiments. After the hop, head over to the store to check them out!
This card is for a few challenges:
- Sketch and Stash - Sketch - I used my new stamps and BasicGrey paper

A Whiff of Freshness
Katharina has another guest designer call for Whiff of Joy and I thought I would give it a go. I absolutely love the newest collection that came out! I'm still waiting for my stamps to come in which I ordered during Mother's Day after I saw the discount code on Rach's blog.
Anywho, for this GD call, Katharina is asking us to use red, orange, and one other color. My other color is gray and I thought the papers from BasicGrey Ambrosia were perfect for this color combo. On this card I've used Charlotte with Large Letter, which remains to be one of my favorite images from Whiff of Joy. You can use it for so many things!
This card is also for the Whiff of Joy Monday Challenge (A Sketch) and Simple Doodles (You're on my mind).

It's my one year blogoversary!! Candy + Freebie
I can't believe this blogging thing (and cardmaking hobby) has been going on for one year now!
One year ago, I posted my first project which was a Mother's Day word album (see below) and now, Mother's Day is again right around the corner and I find myself reflecting on all the wonderful things that have happened in just one year.
Lots of things have changed in my personal life as well as in this crafting journey. I was in love with my Cricut when I first got it and even though I hardly use it now, I want to go back and create things like that word album. There's so much to celebrate about! I've been lucky enough to "meet" new people and join fantastic design teams, I've accumulated a ridiculous amount of stamps, and I still learn new things everyday.
The freebie sentiment set is called: Be Yourself. I've learned to be free with my crafting and enjoy it so much more now. I still remember Lindsay's comment, which was to do what I want and forget about what others might think. Thanks, Lindsay, even though you'll probably never read this. I've been lucky enough to have had so many wonderful, inspirational crafters who create such beautiful things!

Prairie Fairy Fridays Week #18: Recycled Materials!
Happy Friday!

This week's Prairie Fairy Friday Challenge is: Recycled! Here's my project using the box that my adhesives came in (yes I love ordering in bulk). I cut it in half because it was way too tall. These sweet Norm 'n Helen Hippo images are just so cute!
Come join us at the Prairie Fairy Friday Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT's amazing (and I mean AMAZING) creations and to join in on the challenge. I hope the everyone has a fantastic weekend!

For today's creation, I've used one of the new Whimsy Stamps Meljen's Designs image called Three Pigs along with Three Pigs Sentiments. Aren't they adorable??
I gave the Distrezz-It-All another chance and I guess it did an okay job. Everything deserves another chance :) I think I was just too rough with it the first time around, lol.

Some Odd Girl's Challenge #4 - The 80's!
We have a new challenge for you at the Some Odd Girl blog!
This time around, the ODDgirls are asking you to create something with an 80's feel. Hm, I tried the best I could, but I really don't remember much of the 80's, lol. I think the zebra print and multi-colored hair were big hits, though :) For my card, I've used the SOG image Mae as Alice Pose. This card fits the challenge at Incy Wincy Designs (Anything Goes) and Crazy 4 Challenges (Sketch).
Make sure to head over to the blog to play along in the challenge and to see all the wonderful creations by the rest of the talented design team!

Whimsy Stamps May Digital Release!
It's time for the Whimsy Stamps May digital release!
If you've come here from Lisa's blog, then you're on the right track! If not, make your way to the start at Denise's blog to make sure you see everyone's wonderful creations.
We have a couple of events happening today! Not only do we have some brand spankin' new digis from Crissy, Kevin, and myself, but Melissa Jenkins (from Meljen's Designs) has now joined the Whimsy Stamps Digital Collection artists. There are a total of six new images and nine new sentiment sets. We also have a challenge going on at the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog: participants will need to follow our challenge and use a Whimsy Stamps image (digi or rubber) to be eligible to win the prize. The challenge will run through the month of May and Denise will draw a random winner on May 31st.
Alright, on to the hop! You have until Tuesday, May 11th at Noon EST to comment on all the DT's blogs then a random winner will be drawn from one of the DT blogs to receive the blog hop prize.
For today's card, I've used Emma Swinging from the Whimsy's Digital Stamps. I also used some Off-White Cherry Blossoms, which are also available at the Whimsy store. Ha, sadly, I couldn't find a place to fit a sentiment, but I thought the "you are my sunshine" sentiment from the Emma Swinging Sentiments set would have been perfect. Another time :)
Image: Whimsy Stamps Emma Swinging; Paper: Cosmo Cricket; Ink: Copics, Bic; Accessories/tools: Off-White Cherry Blooms, Prima flower, rhinestones
