Sentimental Sundays #14: Switch it up!

Sorry for the late post!

I had some things going on yesterday and I couldn't get the post up for Sentimental Sundays until now. This week, we're challenging you to Switch It Up! Try a new technique, or a new style - go ahead, challenge yourself to think outside the box!

Actually, for this week, I thought well inside the box, lol. I created a rectangular bag (is it a bag or a box?) using my Cricut Expression and a cartridge. Gasp! You would never be able to tell from my creations that I had one because I hardly ever use it. I also used one of the newest rubber stamps from Whimsy Stamps called Birthday Letter Seals.  The seals fit perfectly in one of my scalloped circle Nestabilities! I wrinkled up the handled a little (NOT intentionally) when I was removing it from my sticky mat so I apologize for the messiness.

Today I'm sharing with you a card and bookmark using Sleepy Mae:

Here's how I put together the bookmark: 

Supplies needed: punches, cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon, SOG image

1.  Punch the edges of the cardstock and patterned papers as desired.

2.  Lay patterned paper over cardstock

3.  Color up image as desired, preferably to match patterned papers :)

4. Place image on patterned paper and embellish as desired.

Prairie Fairy Friday - Decorate A Bag!

It's time for another Prairie Fairy Friday Challenge!

This week we're asking you to decorate a bag. You don't have to make the bag yourself (like I have here using this 2-5-7-10 Bag tutorial from SCS); you can just decorate one lying around :)  It's good to recycle, anyway!  On this bag, I used cute little Lenny, the first Prairie Fairy image that I fell in love with.  There's just something about his cute little (well, big) nose that I can't resist!
