7 Kids College Fund Challenge: Winter Wonderland

It's time for another 7 Kids College Fund Challenge!

Wow, I can't believe it's been two weeks already!  I'm sure everyone is having a very busy week, and a very busy month, so why not take some time to relax and de-stress with a little crafting?  This week at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge, we're asking you to create something with a Winter Wonderland theme.  Yep, very easy and very time appropriate, so while you're de-stressing, you'll also be knocking down some Christmas cardmaking :)

For my Winter Wonderland card, I've created a card using the oh-so-sweet Sweet November Neva stamp from CC Designs.  Isn't she just lovely?? She has such a sweet face and it really lets me use my snowflake dies.  The snowflake die that I used is called Winter's Jewel 1 from Whimsy Stamps.  It's actually just one die, but you can layer it and create different looking dies by cutting out the ends.  For the price of one die, you have endless possibilities!

And again, I went crazy with the Viva Decor Pearl Pens!  I really don't know how I didn't discover these earlier, but they are just one of the greatest embellishments/tools I've ever run across.  Granted, I may not have the most steady hand and I do tend to get messy, but you can probably do a better job than I can with these Pearl Pens.  For this card, I've used the Light Blue Pearl Pen and the Light Green Pearl Pen on Neva's snowflake dress as well as on the corner outline of the Mega Nestabilities Labels 8 die cut.  I also used some Stickles on part of her dress.

The border punch is the Martha Stewart Doily Hearts Edge Punch.  All the papers I used were from the BasicGrey Majorlaine 6x6 Paper Pad.

Oh, and while I have you here, did you know that 7 Kids College Fund just added some new great goodies to the store?? The store also now carries the Ranger Liquid Pearls, so if the Viva Decor Pearl Pens are not your thing, or if you wanted to start out with something cheaper, you might want to try to  Ranger Liquid Pearls.

This week's code is NEWSTUFF10 and will save customers 10% on everything in the ADDED THIS WEEK section of the store!

7 Kids also has some new stamps in stock!  Check out these latest additions at the "Added this week" section of the store.

7 Kids College Fund Challenge #4: Sketch with a Fall theme!

Hello all!

Welcome to another 7 Kids College Fund Challenge!  This wee, we're asking you to create a fall themed creation using the wonderful sketch that Suzanne Dean has cooked up.  Make sure you visit the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog to play along! We have a great prize this week, but you must use a stamp that is carried by the 7 Kids store to be eligible.

For this card, I've used one of the newest CC Designs stamps called Fall Scene.  I love these pumpkins!  They're so homely.  It was the perfect time, too, to use some of this DCWV paper that I've had for a very long time along with a raffia that I've had since last fall :)  I used a variety of flowers from Prima and Wild Orchids.  The image is colored with distress reinkers with Medium Koi Water Brush from Sakura.  The circle was cut out with Nestabilities and the embossing folder used for it was the Birds and Swirls embossing folder.

First 7 Kids College Fund Challenge!

Are you ready for the first every 7 Kids College Fund challenge??

Today is the big unveiling of the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog and we're all very excited to bring you some inspiration! If you signed up for the 7 Kids newsletter, you already got a heads up on this week's challenge: pink and dots!  Our challenges will be posted every other Wednesday so you have plenty of time to play along.  Make sure to head to the challenge blog to soak up some inspiration :)

For this challenge, I've created a card using the very sweet CC Designs Sweet November stamp called Treasure Tempestwind.  Actually, there are two great images that come with this stamp set: one is the very beautiful mermaid you see on my card below and the other is a cute little tiger seal (at least I think he's a tiger seal).  I've done a little sewing on this card, added a little bling with Stickles on her tail and some gems.  It's a rather simple card, which really let me show off the great image :)

Ms. Shimmery Pearl

Happy Monday! And it is a happy Monday indeed because I have the day off :)

I just have a quick card to share with you today! I finally got to play with these new CC Designs Sweet November mermaid stamps that my friend Deb sent me.  This image called Pearl Tidepool.  Isn't she just gorgeous? I had to top off her mermaid tail with Stickles, of course, because what's a mermaid without some shimmer? Oh, I forgot! I distressed the edges with the Zutter Distrezz-It All! It only took a minute to distress all the edges!

I'm trying to squeeze in as much cardmaking today as I can so I'm off to make another card! For those who have the day off, I hope you're enjoying it, too :)

Julie Hill is challenging you to create an easel drawer card using a CC Designs stamp.  Head over to the Ning to enter the competition - there are some major prizes to be won!

For this challenge, I've used Rosalie with Roses.  It's such a gorgeous image :)  I paired her up with a sentiment from the Flowers in Bloom digital sentiment set at Whimsy Stamps.  This fits the challenge at Sketch Saturday (Sketch) and Sweet Stampin' Challenge (Pimp Your Card).
