Crafty Creations Challenge #35: Leaves/Autumn

Okay, I'm late in posting yet again! I apologize! These days, I get home from work and I'm so tired. It takes me a while go to through emails, maybe I squeeze in making one card, and before I know it, it's time to go to bed.

Anywho, on to the fun stuff! Autumn is here and this week's Crafty Creations challenge is to see some leaves or create something Autumn-themed. How fun is that? Our sponsor this week is Leah from Paper Blooms so you definitely want to try your hand at this challenge! Also, visit the challenge blog to see all the lovely creations by the rest of the DT.

Paper Maniac Inspirations: Brads and Buttons

This week's Paper Maniac Inspirations theme is brads and buttons! Brads were one of the first embellishments that I started collecting when I began scrapbooking and I haven't tired of them yet. They're so versatile and can be used in different ways. When I started cardmaking, my button collection grew and now I have just as much buttons as brads! I couldn't see myself getting tired of these little embellishments anytime soon.

Paper Maniac offers lots of different buttons to match any project. Check out the brads here and the buttons here.

Don't forget to head on over to the Paper Maniac Deliberations blog to see what some of the other DT members came up with for this theme!

Follow Me - Whimsy Stamps Mother Goose

Look how cute this stamp is! I absolutely loved playing with it, even though the coloring isn't the best. I didn't notice that until after I looked at this photo. I really don't know what the heck happened...

This card is for my Whimsy Stamps DT and also for the Sketch and Stash Challenge #19. I turned the sketch CW 90 degrees. My new stash is the Whimsy Mother Goose and Babies stamp and paper from a blog candy won ages ago (thanks Ann).

I also want to let you know about the Stampers United blog hop going on until September 26 6:00AM EST. Whimsy Stamps is one of the sponsors and our own Vicki is participating in the blog hop. Paper Maniac Inspirations: Halloween time!

I can't believe it's already nearing the end of the year! Okay, I know, some of you may be saying that it's not even October, but to me, this year has gone by like a breeze.

This week at Paper Maniac, the DT will be showcasing some Halloween/Fall cards for you to get inspired with. I got to play with this fantastic Scarecrow stamp from Serendipity Stamps and I felt that it just looked much better uncolored. Plus, I don't have the right Copic colors to color it with! Hmm..maybe that will change soon?

Don't forget, there are still a couple of sales going on at Paper Maniac until Tuesday! The stamp that I used here and all in stock Serendipity Stamps are 20% off with a coupon code that can be found in our Paper Maniac Newsletter. If you're having trouble signing up or don't know how, just let me know. Also, all in stock patterned paper is still 12% off and all in stock patterned paper featured in the Newsletter is 20% off. The deals just keep coming!

Check out the Paper Maniac Deliberations blog to see more spooky (or just pretty) creations by the DT! Hope you're having a fantastic weekend!

Paper Maniac Inspirations: Patterned Paper!

Now who doesn't love patterned paper? Pretty paper is definitely one of my weaknesses. I have stacks and stacks because they're so hard to resist, yet for some reason, it's hard for me to use them up. It tears my heart to tear them apart, sorry for the pun!

Well, Paper Maniac's theme this week is Patterned Paper so there's not avoiding it! Luckily, Patti sent some of the goodies that come along in the Paper Maniac Autumn Take 'N Make Kit, which made it super easy to coordinate this card!! Look how pretty the papers go together; I just love it!

Remember, we also have a sale going on till September 22! For the first two sales, no coupon code is needed. For the Serendipity Stamps sale, the coupon code can be found in the newsletter so sign up if you haven't already! It's definitely worth it!

Whimsy Stamps Monthy Challenge - Distressing

Oh wow, I can't believe I forgot to post about this!! Yesterday a new challenge at the Whimsy Stamps Monthly Challenge was posted. A new challenge is posted every 3rd Wednesday of the month. This time, we want you to do some distressing! I created a tutorial on how I distress my cards and I hope that you enjoy it, but you don't have to by any means follow it step-by-step! I know there are far more adept distressers than I :) I hope you stop by, though, to enter the challenge and to take a look at my little tutorial.

My distressed card
Stamps: Whimsy Lion; Paper: DCWV stack

Also, the Whimsy Stamps website has gotten a make-over! I got a wonderful opportunity to help out Denise with the revamping and it was so fun! I got to play around with making the new banner, the RSS mice, the background, and the coding. Make sure you pop over there to check out the clean new design, the easy navigation, as well as to see little old me on the Artist Page. I made some sentiments for Whimsy that are coming out soon! I can't thank Denise enough for all the fantastic opportunities she's given me.

We also have a fantastic release coming up and I can't wait!! There are some GREAT new stamps coming and you won't want to miss them!

New sketch for SAS The Fresh Batch!

I'm a little under the weather, not really feeling 100% yet because of some virus I've caught, so sorry for the quick post. Make sure to check out the Crafty Creations blog to see who won the last challenge and for some fantastic creations by the DT. Thank you to everyone who took the time to make a card for Paige!

Paper Maniac Inspirations: Ribbon!

Well I haven't been a very good Paper Maniac DT member because I haven't been talking much about it or making more sentiments, but it's been so fun being involved with Patti and the rest of the wonderful DT in this journey. We have a feature at the Paper Maniac Blog called Paper Maniac Inspirations in which we pick a weekly theme and the DT will showcase their cards using that specific embellishment/technique/tool, etc. every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday of the week.

This week, we're all using ribbon in our creations. You all know I love ribbon! And what else do I love? Whimsy Stamps! It's so great to be able to create for the store using the stamps that I already have and love!

SAS The Fresh Batch Thursday!

The summer season is ending and I really can't wait for Fall and Winter to come. Being in Southern California, that doesn't mean much because we really don't have distinct weathers - just either 10-20 degrees hotter or cooler, lol. Still, it's been a very interesting summer and I hope that it's been a good one for you.

Just because summer is ending, it doesn't mean the fun has to end. This week we have another great sketch for you from Stamps and Smiles, The Fresh Batch Thursday Sketch Challenge. Remember, one guest designer will be chosen each week, you don't need to use SAS stamps, and you'll be entered to win some SAS if you play along! What more could you want?
