Whimsy Stamps February 2012 release - Showcase Day 4!

Hello and welcome to Day 4 of our
February Release Showcase!

Whimsy Stamps released a ton new of new rubber designs, new Shapeology dies, and ShapeEZ templates! To celebrate, Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous products with a daily mini blog hop until February 28.

Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw.

To be entered into today's mini blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the DT's posts listed below by 12.00PM EST tomorrow. All winners will be announced on the Whimsy Inspirations blog on February 29.

To take a peek at today's fabulous new release creations, please click on the links below:
For my card today, I've done even MORE merging using some cool KennyK dudes! I broke out the markers this time for coloring.  I was a little ashamed to show off the new Ryder Cole (left) image because a couple of days ago, Alberto had a really awesome card with some great coloring.  You should head to his blog for coloring inspiration after you finish our mini hop for today.  Anywho, the guy on the right is Cool Kid, which was released last month, but I hadn't gotten a chance to ink it up yet so thought it would be fun to put these two together!

The sentiment is from the Retro Bottle Cap Sentiments set that was released a while back.  It was cut out using the matching Bottle Cap Die.  Another die cut was placed behind it to make it stand out a little.

The rest of this card is pretty basic, actually!  Just lots of layering (12 pieces of paper at one spot, hehe) and sewing.  It was hard to NOT sew the images and I had to start and stop a few times.

Make sure to come back tomorrow for another showcase from me!  I have a Sylvia Zet creation next time :)

Stamps: Whimsy Stamps  Ryder Cole, Cool Kid, and Retro Bottle Cap Sentiments sentiments; Coloring medium/ink: Copics on Make it Colour blending card stamped with Memento ink in Tuxedo BlackPapers: Echo Park A Boy's Life 6x6 paper pad; Embellishments: none! Tools: Whimsy Stamps Bottle Cap Die, Cuttlebug (now dead, sniff sniff), sewing machine

Remember that the entire new release is available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check the Whimsy Inspirations blog tomorrow for more new release creations!

Cute, cool card! Love all these images and your coloring and layering just adds such wonderful interest and texture. Thanks for inspiring. And on another, albeit sadder note, RIP to your cuttlebug, mine went away this past fall, such a heartbreak. But good news . . . There are others out there that need new homes or if you are willing to try something else, Oh My Crafts has one they are giving away this next week - worth a try ;) In the meantime, hope you feel better soon ;)
